The Group

The Health Geography and Policy Group is based at ETH Zurich. We are a multidisciplinary team of geographers, environmental scientists, pharmacist and veterinarians working on disease affecting animals and humans. Our core focus is on mapping antimicrobial resistance using geospatial models in combination with publicly available data. We maintain the largest openaccess online repository for animal point prevalence surveys on antimicrobial resistance (external pageresistancebank.org, see our external pagevideo). We also conduct work on the genetic epidemiology of resistance in animals, and in aquaculture. Our work is theoretical in nature but are involved with field scientist and as part of join efforts to curb antimicrobial resistance worldwide. Please do not hesitate to get in touch to help move!
